Cairns to Darwin 17th March- 20th March - What a Journey!

Rosanna Vittorio Cobham 717 Captain and her crew collected the Baton in Cairns and flew it overnight to Darwin.

On the 18th March, Rosanna handed the Baton to Air North pilot Trish Boyce who flew the Baton, (who was Co-Pilot) in her Metro from Darwin to Truskott Island return to Darwin and handed back to Rosanna who was custodian of the Baton for the night.

The Baton is Co Pilot in the Metro


On the 19th of March Rosanna then passed the Baton to AWPA National President and Virgin Captain Carol Dehn who overnighted in Darwin then early this morning, Captain Carol has flow the Baton on its longest leg of 1435nm.

After a very long day, the Baton was treated to business class service during its Darwin to Perth sector with Virgin Australia, accompanying passengers also showed their enthusiasm for the relay and donated spare change to the Cancer Council fund raising drive.
